Fitment Kit: Verticooler & Intake Manifold – Subaru WRX 2015–2021 (VA)
The Process West Fitting Kit is a dedicated hardware solution designed specifically for owners installing both the Process West Verticooler and the Process West Intake Manifold on a 2015–2021 Subaru WRX.

While both components are designed for high performance, their increased dimensions compared to factory parts create clearance constraints when used together. This kit provides the necessary components to ensure a seamless and professional integration of both systems.

 

Why and when this kit is required.
When upgrading to a high-volume induction system, space within the VA WRX engine bay becomes limited. This kit addresses two specific fitment variables:

  • Manifold Height: The Process West Intake Manifold (PWIM007) features a taller plenum than the original unit, which reduces the available clearance for under-hood ducting.
  • Ducting Alignment: The Verticooler (PWTMIC14B) includes an upgraded hood scoop and duct assembly to maximise airflow. Because the intake manifold sits higher, the standard Verticooler ducting is unable to fit correctly when used together.

If you are running the Process West Verticooler and plan to upgrade to the Process West Intake Manifold (or vice versa), this fitting kit is an essential addition to ensure both components work in physical harmony.

Following our digital models, we generate 3D printed prototypes for further, real-world confirmation of size, fitment, and installation ease. When our prototype is perfect, it's on to manufacturing.
