The Process West Front Mount Intercooler is built for N70 Hilux owners who demand real-world performance and long-term durability. Engineered to OEM-level fitment standards and validated through rigorous real-world testing, this is a serious upgrade for serious use.
Bar and plate core. The 550 x 265 x 65mm bar and plate core delivers a significant increase in cooling surface area and overall thickness over the factory unit. Bar and plate construction is chosen for its superior heat dissipation, durability, and impact resistance — the toughest intercooler type available.
Proven real-world results. Process West engineers tested the Terra-Tuff against the factory intercooler under identical real-world conditions — a loaded N70 carrying 650kg up a 4km, 310m elevation climb at 80km/h. The factory intercooler peaked at 44°C. The Terra-Tuff peaked at just 23°C. That's a 48% improvement in cooling efficiency, translating to real gains in power, torque, and engine longevity through reduced EGT figures.
Piping built to last. Four-ply moulded silicone hoses, high-durability constant tension hose clamps, and mandrel bent aluminium pipework combine for factory-level integrity across the entire system.
Isometric rubber mounts. The intercooler core is mounted on isometric rubber mounts, allowing it to flex with the vehicle under demanding off-road conditions. This reduces strain on mounting brackets and hose connections for a longer service life.

Ground-Up Performance Engineering.
Our designs all follow a similar path. We remove the stock cooler and 3D scan the engine bay to determine the precise constraints of the available space. Once we know what we’re working with, we generate functional renders and finalise form, function, and fitment.
Following our digital models, we generate 3D printed prototypes for further, real-world confirmation of size, fitment, and installation ease. When our prototype is perfect, it's on to manufacturing.
